Vinland Saga Manga Finally Ends After an Epic 19-Year Journey
After nearly two decades of blood, battles, and redemption, Vinland Saga is finally reaching its conclusion. The critically acclaimed manga by Makoto Yukimura will officially ends on 25 july, marking the close of an unforgettable 19-year saga that began in 2005.
On Friday, the movie opened to 1.64 billion yen (US$11.11 million) based on 1.15 million tickets sold, giving the film the number one Japan box office opening day record. On Saturday, the movie then made 1.84 billion yen (US$12.47 million) on 1.26 million tickets sold. Sunday was the highest-grossing single day of the four-day holiday weekend, with 2.03 billion yen (US$13.76 million) brought in on 1.42 million tickets sold.
